Worth searching the monitor to locate this little beauty, Kathryn.
Kathryn: Hello, Ray, beauty worth searching for---isn't that the truth?
you know damn well it's a hard work to remain simple. smile
Couldn't help but check this on the black background, which gave the image a definition.

And welcome back, Ms. Kathryn. (How many times I'm going to welcome you back? smile)
Kathryn: I guess, VZ, you are going to have to stop welcoming me back and just say hello.

Simplicity is generally much more complex than simple--it is just that simple :-

Great to see you here, Kathryn. It's been a long time. Such a tiny sweetness peeking out of a sea of white you come back to s/c with. smile
Kathryn: And such a tiny sweetness peeking in to the sea of white.

Sophisticated ...

Kathryn: Sophisticatedly simple...

Funnily enough i did the same as Viktor....and actually I think this works better on the black background. Good to see you posting a picture Kathryn.
Kathryn: Good to see you looking at my photo, Bill. How are you?
Quite sophisticated I think.
Nice to see you back Kathryn!
Kathryn: Back and forth, I am, Richard. Like an almost poppy peeking in from a sea of white.
A floating pink poppy - Kathryn's back!
Kathryn: Ha, you know me too well, Mary. I floated back to Germany a few weeks ago....

I very like this gentle, little, simple photograph - and also the white background (a dark one would be too 'hard'!) - you know the importance of the first white, empty page of a diary or letter... before we are ready to try writing slowly -tenderly down our first words - like it is now: It is one of your first photos after a longer best wishes for you!
Kathryn: Philine, I've opened my diary and starred at the white first page for some time now before taking my pen, pressing it to the page, and writing my name. Perhaps there will be more words--but for now, I love the cleanness of the slate.
Hi Kathryn.
Simple suits me just fine, I love it!

I missed your last post....
you looked so vulnerable there, I am happy that you are back, I know life is not fair/easy/all fun.
This post of today, shows you are brave, determined and you see the beauty in small things.
I read the comment and reply from and to Philine, sometimes we just are silent and without words, we only have to look one in the eyes.
I often think of you.

Good title very much simplicity
A lovely idea, and it works.

I think it works better with the black background.

On my monitor I'm seeing some grey areas off to the left and upwards from the flower, perhaps my settings are no good.
You may say simple, but I say gentle, thoughtful, and very beautiful. (:o)
it's smell good!
