Kathryn: Oh but Vera, landscapes in muted tones are never simple subjects nor are blurry ideas when it comes to clarity of vision. The more abstract the idea, the more blurry the process of sorting it through. How do you deal with those blurry ideas to make them simple?

Kathryn: Oh Astrid, but I have always thought you were a woman of many words. Thank you for your private email. I'll read it as soon as I am done here.

My German is not so wonderful, but I do try and I have made progress. Writing is easy for me. It makes sense because expressing my thoughts in writing in English is easier for me than talking--especially if I need time to work though some ideas.

The image--the echoed layers and undulations interest me. They made me think about all the layers we have and how those layers are echoed in our lives.

Welcome back, Kathryn. Thanks God that blurry eyes can be fixed with surgery, ...what a shame that blurry souls, cannot... I'm glad that your soul's vision is clearer than ever... This poem is what your picture made me dream of...

Kathryn: "Blurry souls," oh KA, what a powerful way to put the idea I have been thinking of to words! My soul struggles, though, and my inner vision is not always clear. I am not sure that struggling is a bad thing because it is those struggles that force me to be a bit more honest with myself.

The symbolism here speaks louder than a million words, Kathryn, and your Soul speaks it the best. We know each other. Sometimes it is the blurriness of our Souls that keeps us alive and seeing the things no one else can see. It doesn't always make sense but I think it catches us between two worlds. I am still trying to accept such a place and just letting it BE.

Kathryn: Ginnie, I suspect there are several ways to look at "being caught between two worlds." I try to look at it in the most positive ways. Yes, we are caught between two worlds and that can make our vision and souls a little blurry at times, BUT we HAVE two worlds and that expends our ability to see beyond the single minded world.
