Sunday Stroll

They make an unusual pair to be out walking together. This is a very nice variation of the silhouette shot.
Kathryn: Ying/yang.
Thanks.
May I have this dance?
Kathryn: I love to dance---you too Mary?
now this is a beautifull shot and i would've never seen it..i like your view..great colors/compo
Kathryn: Thanks much, Edson.
Clever capture here Kathryn.. love the simplicity and the textures of the paving.
Kathryn: Gale, thanks...those cobblestones have proffered many nice textures.
It is always more fun to walk with somebody, but I don't dont have to tell you about that.....or with the endless walks I have with my husband.... (I forgot) this is a stunning picture, the shadows touching and make the bird and lady one, I love the color you used.
Kathryn: A silence walk with a soulmate is nice too
Beautiful photography Kathryn, very well spotted and captured. Many regards, Neil.
Kathryn: Thank you so much, Neil.
I like the perspective as if I self were a bird or a dog and I like the black silhouettes coming nearer (short before the next moving) and their shadows falling upon the cobble-stones! The crow seems to be very friendly or did she/he wait for a "Leckerli"?
Kathryn: Thanks much, Philine. I was sitting low on a step watching as if I were a bird. Those cobblestones which as you know are found in most city centers are beautiful when they catch the light. No treats, but I think our bird friend was hoping for some.
Friendly pigeon to go on a stroll with a human. Excellent composition and conversion.
Kathryn: And a friendly human to go strolling with a pigeon. Some humans might not be so nice :-(
a silhouette stepping into a shadow - i have never seen this happening before. well done, Kathryn. it's interesting how the pigeon's umbra is lost in that of the other being.
Kathryn: Terry, looking at this image brings to mind yesterday's discussion. Perhaps the pigeon's umbra is one with the other being?
The pigeon in the shadow. I like the composition and the silhouettes
Kathryn: Thanks, Richard.
Me and my shadow, what a wonderful shot Kathryn. Well done
Kathryn: Thanks, Tracy.
Who is the mystery person and why does he seem to have no feet? I like it, Kathryn.
Kathryn: Fishing accident, I suspect.
Brilliant shot Kathryn: quite out of the ordinary - but stunning!
Kathryn:
awesome shadow work here.... nice color tone too, so natural
Kathryn: Thanks, Chantal.
I love this silhoutte and the old brick walkway the bird and lady are walking on.
Kathryn: Laura, welcome to most city centers in Germany. The cobblestones are so beautiful.
wether should really be very sunny to work at this speed... nice result of shadows.
Kathryn:
Nice solhouettes and composition !!! I love your use of sepia ...
Kathryn: Thanks so much, Ann.
Photo sublime, bravo. Pascal
Sublime photograph, bravo. Pascal Erhabenes Foto, bravo. Pascal
Kathryn: Thank you, Ich bedanke mich, Merci!
Wonderful shot Kathryn. Simple with a shallow depth, just like me
Couldn't quite get a great composition to fit into that analogy
Kathryn: Your analogy works for me hahahhahahha
Thank you for your comment. Nice to know you like it.
Don't you admire the ability of pigeons never to get trodden on? No matter how many people there are they always keep on step ahead! Oh and I like the picture Kathryn!
Kathryn: There is something to be said for the ability to never get trodden on.
Thanks, Bill. Nice to know you like this one.
Schmashing. Likeyed! H.
Kathryn: Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Percy pigeon, out strolling on the sunny pavement...
...comes across a mobile tree... "What a useless concept", he thinks, "if I perched in it and had a nap, then I would have no idea where I was when I awoke!"
Kathryn: Ha, you've been reading to the boy again?
When I look at this picture and read you comment, I thought about a song my dad (who had a lovely warped sense of humor) used to sing when we were out in parks or such and saw pigeons. The first couple of stanzas to the song: Spring is here, a-suh-puh-ring is here. Life is skittles and life is beer. I think the loveliest time of the year is the spring. I do, don't you? 'Course you do. But there's one thing that makes spring complete for me, And makes ev'ry Sunday a treat for me. All the world seems in tune On a spring afternoon, When we're poisoning pigeons in the park. Ev'ry Sunday you'll see My sweetheart and me, As we poison the pigeons in the park.
…seeking a refuge
from sleepless nights walking into the shadow of the lost dreams…
Kathryn: Viktor, this thought is just so emotionally beautiful and it seems somehow you have put words to thoughts, with which I struggle.
Great find, Kathryn.
Very nice composition, really. And the tones go very well.
