Alone Together
comments (24)
They have gone far together and show no sign of slowing down. I like the message.
Kathryn: Thanks, Martin.
I think they are very involved in what they are doing Kathryn
Kathryn: Yes, I think they are, Chris.
…a touch of wings
is not enough to make a sparkle, though a touch of souls is far enough to start a fire, at times…
Kathryn: a fire sparked once
by the touch of a soul, is more than a life time of wing touches
....and I think they are happy together, flying of to the sunny side.........great composition.
Kathryn: Thanks, Astrid. Here is to the sunny side, where life is beautiful.
alone ceases to be what it seems. marvellous. you've taken this way beyond a very good photograph to a very strong concept. which is very you, isn't it ?
Kathryn: Thanks, Terry. I have to live up to my reputation as a moody woman
Many birds mate for life...unlike so many people.
Kathryn: Ray's post says that he has observed otherwise after his recent foray into bird photography.
Positive scenario: I hear the rustle of your wings, closer now!
Negative scenario: Hey watch where you are going oaf, got your pilot's license in a lucky packet? Excellent composition.
Kathryn: lol Louis on the pilot's license!
Terrific composition Kathryn all that expanse and there is only space for two
Kathryn: Thank you so much, Aussie.
It's so romantic !!! And with a little of imagination it creates a "A" ... For me then ... I love the way you shot them in the middle of this sky, with nothing else !!!
Well done ...
Kathryn: Thanks, Ann. Appreciate it.
This is a superb shot Kathryn. Beautifully composed and so, so simple yet it says it all.
Ingrid
Kathryn: Thank you so much, Ingrid.
Eloping, I would say...and hurrying to get some distance between themselves and their dis-approving families.
There is a tragedy looming...just like with Juliette and whatshisname! [LOL at Bill...recent observations have concluded that these "mate for life" birds are very inclined to a having a "bit on the side" while their mate is off getting the fish dinner.] [grin]
Excellent capture Kathryn. Makes me feel like piloting my model planes!
Kathryn: Wow you are the emotional one, aren't you, Richard! Just you and your model planes alone together
It's like an Icarus being rescued during the falling down...
Well composed...
Kathryn: thank you so much..I had not made the connection until you mentioned it.
No words can express the poetical beauty of this pic, Kathryn, two birds- touching with their wings each other, two and one, combined in a wonderfully swinging, flirting way, a way of absolute harmony; I must remember the Brecht-Song "Die Liebenden" (you know)! But the most beautiful is the large endless sky, a kind of universe, the birds are only a little "thing/part" in this universe, but for themselves they are all "things", for these two birds have found them in this universe, I believe, this may be called "love", isn't a wonder? Yes, it is!
Kathryn: Philine, are as poetic as this image. I've read them over and over and will continue to do so every time I look at this image. Thank you so much.
I do like the positioning of the birds in this simple composition, Kathryn. I also like the different positions of the two sets of wings.
Kathryn: thanks Chad. I think the birds positioned themselves.
I like the idea, a bit grey though
Kathryn: More of a gray/blue here though.
the composition shouts isolation at me Kathryn, another image that sparks the imagination
Kathryn:
I love the minimalism. Poetic.
Kathryn: Thanks Laura. I wonder what poem it might inspire in you.
Very clever capture, and it looks good on the page too
Coool, the fight of the birds
…a tiny flame
between two souls can turn into a firestorm, if not controlled.
Kathryn: when two souls connect,
a tiny flame is a firestorm.
This is just superb, the framing is fantastic... goes direct into my likeys! Regards, Laurence
Kathryn: Thank you so much, Laurence. Nice to know you like it so much!
Showing your versatility with non blurry birds
Love the lins and the greyness of the pic...this is a pic I wish had been mine
