Hidden Among the Flowers

Lovely bright color.
Kathryn: They are, aren't they. I think we need to send Mother Nature a thank you card for providing them.
I love this splash of vibrant colour. Love the dof too. Nicely done.
Kathryn: A splash of vibrant color is just as necessary as a splash of good vermouth in a vodka martini.
Nice to know you like the photograph, I am wondering how you feel about a good martini
Reminds me of a dance.
Kathryn: It is a dance, Mary, a slow, seductive of souls.
There is a strong statement about the "Joy of Living" hidden among these flowers.
Beautifully captured, Kathryn.
Kathryn: Then I say we should all be so lucky as to be hidden among the flowers, Ray.
Invisible to others, well hidden among the flowers
you have to waive your ego, to feel the magic powers
Kathryn: I wandered lonely over the dunes,
until i came upon a bed of yellows and reds. Their whispered scent carried on the ocean breeze, invited me to become a wild flower. I hid myself among them, and felt my ego melt away.
Kathryn, I would have to say this is a likey for me. Wonderful angle of view here...and the colors! Wow!
Kathryn: Kay, I am delighted to know that this magic world of colors resonates with you as much as it does me. Hide with me among them?
I took just such a shot on Saturday Kathryn when out walking in a National Park and I was bonding most definitely, literally and metaphorically, with mother earth. It was a great feeling. I got bitten by an insect, my shirt got muddy and my aging back made it difficult to jump up afterwards.
So I can relate equally to your image ... keep them coming. richard
Kathryn: Richard, then we've both experienced the finer things in life--insect bites, muddy clothes, and the scent of wild flowers.
Lovely colours though the bokeh isn't as smooth as it could be
Kathryn: Thanks Stan. Mother Nature provided the colors! As far as the bokeh, c'est la vie. It is what it is.
Nice combination of colours, not seen these ones before.
Kathryn: Nig, if you have never seen these colors before, than you are far overdue for a trip to the Atlantic coast of Florida. These grow wild in the ocean dunes.
Wonderful colours Kathryn.
Kathryn: Thanks so much, Chad. They are vibrant!
Beautiful use of colour Kathryn. I never tire of taking pictures of flowers.
Kathryn: Thanks, Bill. I took this one a few months ago and I am aching to get out again with my camera in my hands. Soon!
Kathryn, I have no (English) words to describe my enthousiasm looking at this summer-photo- the most beautiful photo I ever have seen! Like a bee my eyes are flying over the natural chaos of this wonderful "Bauerngarten" and 'drinking' the colours of the butterfly-like flowers, envelopped by the abundance of sunlight! Ein wahrer Augenschmaus voller Lebensfreude!
Kathryn: Es war mir ein großes Vergnügen, zu lesen Ihre Gedanken unber mien Foto (Oh i am not sure if this is grammatically correct--help!) Das Schönste Foto aller Zeiten!
My eyes flew over the flowers, which were on the edge of the sand dunes near the Atlantic Ocean as if I too were a bee, darting too and fro, unsure where to land. So I roamed visually, flitting about and finally realized that I needed to become one with that world. What a wonderful feeling it was to be engulfed in those flowers there at the edge of the ocean with the beautiful sun warm on my skin! We've spent time together here in this magical world, Philine
Something really colorful!
How are you Kat?
Kathryn: Really colorful---yes, a time for color, I suppose.
Doing better, Nadine and itching to get out and about with my camera. Soon, I hope. How are things with you?
What a wonderful festival of colours Kathryn. I would also feel like hiding among them!
Kathryn: Come on, Richard! There is plenty of room to hide.
i am not so sure about the Martini Kathryn a nice glass of chilled beer will do
Kathryn: Then a cold beer for you, Tim. Make nice a martini with a splash of wild colors.
With the best wishes for recreation among the flowers and the clouds from Joachim Ringelnatz, Sommerfrische:
Vielen Danke!
Love this - the beautiful, singing colours, the DOF, the feeling that your are lying down in a meadow. Beautiful.
Ingrid
Kathryn: The singing colors--what a perfect way to describe them, Ingrid.
I love the colours in this very eyecatching well done.
Kathryn: It caught my eye and my soul, for sure.
Lovely colors. It would be fun to hid in all this summery chaos
Kathryn: Martin, find some summery chaos and hid yourself in it!
very crisp... and vivid... with a nice touch of movement...
Kathryn: minelmio, thanks I would agree with the vivid and the movement. Beyond the technicalities does the photograph do anything for you on a more humanistic level?
Great picture and I suspect you have been amongst the flowers - like in low down
Kathryn:
Super photo the colours are wonderful
Kathryn: Thanks much. Yeah the colors are something....as sune reyt said, "salsa flowers"
A beautiful, vivid gathering of colours. A lovely photograph
Kathryn: the world is a beautiful, vivid gathering of colors, isn't it, FLOOG?
Today I have read in a poem of Else Lasker-Schüler (she remembers of her happy times during her loneliness in her exile, far away from friends and lovers): "Darum auch lebten du und ich in einem Schacht!/Und -doch im Paradiese trunken blumumblattet." The last four words could belong to your poetical pic!
Kathryn: Oh what a beautiful thought to sustain me, Philine. Thank you.
Your photo is to my eyes as a poet's words are to my soul.
Thank you for sharing.
Kathryn: And your words are poetry to my tired soul. Thank you for that.
To be surrounded by a field of these would be marvelous.
What a lovely and lively expression of summer's grace. They do seem to be dancing.
Kathryn: Karima, find a field of flowers and become hidden among them. Your soul will dance.
Thank you for the visit and the comment.
its incerdible how the flowers seems to be dancing. Salsa flowers, really nice capture!
Kathryn: Salsa dancing flowers sounds so spicy! I like it.
Reply:
Yes, it makes me feel good... and warm... and it gives me a safe microcosm feeling... NM.
Kathryn: NM---good then join me among the flowers.
Great splash of brignt color. Love the dof.
Kathryn: SPLASH...like a splash of paint from Jackson Pollock's chaotic paintbrush.
Thanks for the comment, Marcie.
After our long, cold winter here in Spokane, I am in love with color-color-color (esp. the warm kind!) This photo screams "SUNSHINE! LIFE IS GRAND!"
Kathryn: Patrushka, as a southern belle. my motto is "sunshine makes life grand." Hope to see you soon among the flowers in Spokane!
The colours are so great, so lovely, the DOF is stunning, how could I have missed this one.
This is a fabulous picture, love the way you cropped it.
Kathryn: Thanks so much, Astrid. The colors are so inviting and I was just born to crop!
Nice to know you like it. I guess you missed it because I have not been visiting many other blogs much lately, including yours. When people sort of drop out of the visiting of other blogs, they sort of dropout of the whole community thing. Understandable. Anyway, I visit when I can and leave a message when i have the energy to. Lately life has been kind to me and I am gifted with some extra energy as well as lubricant for my brain.
WOW! great shot. different from previous shots of yours i remember.
Kathryn: Thanks, Liam. Well different in some ways and not so different in others. Nice to know you like it!
Beautiful colors,Well done
