Please Picasso, Forgive Me
A few days ago, I posted my picture Water Buffalo . My fellow SCer VZ at Nostalgia, commented on it, "An evil spirit comes to mind. If you can manage to add a horse's shadow, then I might whisper right to your ear: " You, Kathryn, and Picasso have things in common...remember Guernica , my dear?"
Click on the red text. They are hyperlinks. What do you think? Does VZ owe me a whisper? (Thanks for indulging my bit of silliness, back to pictures tomorrow).

I like your Picasso moment
Kathryn: Thanks, Jewlya! I either created them in PS or took them from one of my photographs!
Oh yes. He owes you big time!
Kathryn: He paid up and turned me on to a great tune!
Well done, Kathryn! This doesn't evoke the horror of Guernica, but you've caught the style.
What a shocker you posted today, Kathryn. What can I say? Touché. As much as I'd love to whisper into your ear, darling, I'd ask my favorite jazz musician Rahsaan Roland Kirk to deliver the message with his famous "You Did It, You Did It" composition, as he simultaneously plays flute and sings. You got to get his "We Free Kings" CD and put your earphones to hear my message, dear.

Kathryn: You are a good sport, VZ
Yes...met the challenge, for sure.
It is a very provocative piece of silliness, Kathryn...Picasso might be secretly flattered if he had the capability to see it.
Kathryn: Or maybe he is rolling over in his grave, Ray
Mmmm ... ''cutting and sticking''. Maybe I should use this example in my teaching with the kids. hmmm glue, scissors, spreaders, sticky paper etc ... mmmm what an afternoon of pure enjoyment! richard.
Oh forgot ... nice bit of art work K'
Kathryn: Careful with giving those kiddies scissors and glue, R. We don't want to have to read in the paper that they glued you to the wall of the classroom using strips of blue paper!
I like this `bit of silliness` as you call it. I think it is really imaginative and very much `in the style of`. Well done, you! (:o)
I don't see how Picasso, the great palagarist, could possibly object! Enjoy your whisper ;o)
Kathryn: Nice to see you "got it," Mike
It's great to have a bit of fun it helps lighten the day some what. I 'm not sure VZ would make a good horse whisperer though.
I congratulate you by this great Picassiana composition!
Big shoes to fill, but this is a strong and entertaining attempt!
Kathryn: Good to know I've entertained you...did you get a good giggle out of it? I did!
My, my Kathryn, maybe you should find out if VZ is your type... and now he's chickening out and is sending someone else.
Excellent picture and challenge well met. "Only you can do it, ah, ah ..." - can't even remember who sang the song.
Kathryn: Well Louis, the guy he sent is a fantastic musician! Rahsaan Roland Kirk plays 3 horns at the same time and is so passionate and soulful. I'll take Kirk and be happy as a clam...assuming clams have brains and can be happy.
I think Pablo will have forgave you ! No doubt about it !! Cubism !!
Kathryn: Let's hope, Florence. But if not, so be it. I'll take the risk!
I think Picasso would take it in good spirit - after all imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
Ingrid
Kathryn: Even a higher from of flattery than telling someone their hair looks FANTASTIC when it doesn't?
Cleverly done Kathryn. I think you should try a few more, they certainly aren't silly.
Kathryn: Thanks, Bill. This one was in silliness and I tossed it together on a whim. I am working on one that is not silliness. Takes quite a bit of time to create these montages, at least for me. While I have a concept before I start (as with the montage I did regarding Prague), the computer and software are a fluid pallet and allow me to create and change as I go. So the process is ongoing and integrated. All of this to say, I *truly* thank you for your encouragement. It helps me get more focused on creative endeavors.
like the superimposition...even if it is a bit over the top...
Kathryn: If it is a bit over the top, then I will consider my job done!
