Good words, great photo!

Kathryn: Marcie, thanks so so much. On Sunday I watched the leaves and noted the way the wind and the leaves played together. Not so much processing, but more an effect of the shutterspeed. I cropped, converted to B&W, edged up the red and contrast.

When I look at the photograph, I see the leaves giving voice to the wind while the wind tickles the leaves.

…we hear the sound of the troubled water only
when it fights the heavy rocks
the rocks get round and smooth because
the troubled water runs through them…

Kathryn: and the trouble water is silenced as it quietly flows over the smoothed rocks

Kathryn: terry, yes...both...all and more...relationships are like that...very intricate, complex, and ever changing.

our pens would be empty if not for influences and interactions with others--it is the living of life the cries on the page...what else do we have?

Kathryn, wonderful words and a wonderful symbiosis of wind and leaves, motion and silence, I would like to say: your most beautiful poem and a pic like a painting- wie federleicht hingetuscht - you are on a very good way and I'm very pleased about that! First I thought as I opened your blog: Where is the music, but your words self are music!

You asked me: Yes, I love to write, more journalistic writing, sometimes creative writing, but only in German possible, in my classes we often have written too, my great pleasure together with the pupils, I know you can imagine that pleasure!

Kathryn: Philine, motion and silence--leaves and wind...grasses and light...those relationships that we often take for granted. I am focused on them at the moment. I wish I could find the words to describe them more...and I will at some point. It just takes a bit of time for me to think the process through.

Do you have any poetry or know of any poetry that explores those relationships that we often miss because they are interwoven in so so many complex ways?

Symbiosis! I'm guessing Life itself is symbiotic, Kathryn, but I don't have time to say any more about that this morning as I prepare to fly back to Atlanta. But I'll think about it...and will keep your image in my mind's eye!
