Wild Child

That's a good subject for a blurry!
Kathryn: Thanks, Martin. That hair was so wild and this little girl, who I saw in the park, was such a personality. The picture captures her essence, I think.
i love this....!! love love love it.....the colours tones softness blurs...and the title is great...well done....i'll be checking back for more of ur stuff...cheers.....

Kathryn: Welcome to my site, Sarina. I do recall about a month ago, spending some time looking at your images, but I don't think they were on Shutter. Do you have another site too? Might have been Shutter, though.
I don't generally do people, but every now and then I toss in a few
Love the energy that the blur suggests, as if she's tossing her hair back or rushing forward. The colors are great too - did you put a new background in? It's perfect for emphasizing her and giving a quiet contrast to her curls.
Kathryn: She was so full of energy, Jewlya. I watched her for a while that day before I took photographs of her. No new background, just shot on a sunny day.
The 'chaos' of the hairs, the blurs, the intensive red colour (not natural), the curls -all this signalizes a touch of wild emotions and thirst for life- but appearences may be deceptive, I would like to look at the face of the child and to talk with 'her'!
Kathryn: A chaos of hair. I like that term very much, Philine. Wild emotions and a thirsty for life, I think you described the wild thing quite well.
Looks are frequently deceiving, Philine, but I wonder why we as humans seem to put so much value in them, not only in people, but in so many things.
Lot of movement emerges from the vagueness of the hair.
good job!
Kathryn: Rxan, vagueness of hair in motion. I like the idea. Thanks!
Love this sense of movement...and the caption is perfect!
Kathryn: Thanks, Kay.
Great sense of movement here. Very well captured!
Kathryn: Thanks much, she was on the run for sure.
It could have been my daughter Victoria. She has same hair !!!
Kathryn: Or my hair, Ann
Anns right it's like Richard has the front view and you have the back. Nice sense of movement
Kathryn: Aussie, curlie girles stick together! Thanks for your comment.
Are you going to do a series of backs, kathryn?
Kathryn: blackdog has cornered the market on backs
Are you going to do a series of blacks, Chad?
We will have to take your word for it (wild, child) - don't listen to Chad, he is winding me up ;o)
Kathryn: I told Chad you had the market cornered on a series of backs
I grew up in the 60s, Take my work for it
A very evocative photograph - you don't need to see her face to imagine what she is like. As another curly-haired person I can only say 'curls rule'!
Ingrid
Kathryn: High 5 on the curls rule, Ingrid. But I must admit to owning and sometimes using a straightening iron
Her hair speaks loudly!
…and sitting on a bench
she watched this little girl and thought ah, somewhere deep inside this wild thing is me…
Kathryn: ...and sitting an ocean away
he watched this woman and thought, ah somewhere not so deep inside her is a wild thing...
curly hair and she never stops moving...such a pretty color!
Kathryn: Thanks, Laura. I thought it was poetry in motion watching her.
very cool Kathryn, a number of little stories and narratives can be read into this one. I like it. mal
Kathryn: Write one of those little stories or narratives, Mal?
Thanks for your comment!
This checks all the boxes Kathryn. Great shot
Kathryn: Thanks, Tracy, but what happens when I fill in the boxes outside the lines?
never thought a bad hair day could look so good
Kathryn: In my book it is a good hair day! Thanks, Tim.
If hair can have personality, then this has! She will probably want it straight when she grows up!
Kathryn: Hair with personality! Being a demure southern woman, I have always had a thing for hair with personality!
Sadly she probably will, but hopefully she doesn't!
Ther seems no end to the potential for series.
Kathryn: Life is a series of moments strung together.
A clever alternative portrait!
Kathryn: Thanks so much. Nig. Her hair is so unique that I am sure it will be her signature so it is a portrait for sure.
...tails of young lambs...gamboling in the meadow...
Kathryn: Yes, ray--precisely!
I like very much the moove effect here, well seen and successful !
Hi! This shot is really vibrant and communicates a lot of energy, as if the girl was running like mad towards her own life... Very moving indeed. Regards, Laurence
